The NDMA Joint Advisor and Commandant (NDRF) visited the Puducherry State Disaster Management Authority (PSDMA) on 23 July 2026

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Puducherry State Disaster Management Authority (PSDMA) and the Centre for Disaster Mitigation & Management (CDMM), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), for implementation of the Multi-Hazard Vulnerability Mapping (MHVM) Project in Puducherry. assess multi-hazard vulnerabilities, including cyclones, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes, heatwaves, droughts.

NEM- heavy rainfall -Red alert

In response to the Northeast Monsoon rainfall, PDDMA organized a comprehensive food distribution drive across Irulansandai Irular Kudiyiruppu and Narikuravar Colony in Bahour Taluk. A total of 10,200 food packets were distributed to vulnerable families affected by the heavy rains. This initiative is part of the ongoing disaster relief efforts to support communities during extreme weather conditions.
